The Problem DayBack is Solving
The traditional calendar was designed centuries ago to structure agricultural life, taxes, and religious holidays. It’s focused on just a few events each day and is most interested in which day of the week each event falls on. That’s not the most critical attribute of our schedule anymore, and the week isn’t our most important timeframe.
The right tools are magic, but there is a dark magic to tools—the wrong tools don’t just slow you down; they constrain what you can see and shorten the horizon of what’s possible.
Without a tool that lets us see our time in context, we have to be constantly vigilant that we don’t miss anything. And we often can’t see what we’re missing anyway.
