A Faster Salesforce Mobile Calendar

We have been doing a lot of work recently to make DayBask the fastest Salesforce Mobile Calendar. This includes backend enhancements to improve caching and calendar streaming, which is still in preview.

But one of the speedups we’re most excited about is for folks who were previously using DayBack in Salesforce Mobile but have switched to using DayBack as a standalone app alongside Salesforce Mobile. For these folks, DayBack can now dynamically generate faster versions of their Salesforce layouts that are optimized for mobile browsers.

For field technicians who have to enter a ton of data, this is a much faster experience and lets the flip between the calendar and Salesforce Mobile using native app switching.

Using DayBack as a Standalone App on Mobile

Rather than using DayBack inside Salesforce Mobile–which works great–you get the fastest experience using DayBack as a separate homescreen app (or a shortcut on Android) next to Salesforce mobile.

Faster Calendar on Salesforce Mobile

The calendar loads faster this way, but more importantly, you can use native app switching on your device to jump between the calendar and Salesforce Mobile much more quickly than you can navigate within Salesforce mobile.

Here is a short movie of this in action. This means you can leave what you’re doing in Salesforce to go check your calendar with no penalty. It’s a game changer.

Dynamic Layouts for the Fastest Mobile Data Entry

Once you’re using DayBack as a standalone app on mobile, you can use DayBack to replace your slowest Salesforce Mobile layouts.

DayBack can create mobile layouts on the fly by reading the metadata of your layouts from Salesforce’s tooling API. This lets the calendar offer faster, mobile-optimized versions that stay up to date as you add fields, lookups, and validation to your layout. Since these new layouts run outside the Salesforce Mobile frame, data entry is much faster. Yet they still respect your permissions and trigger flows since they are using the calendar’s live connection to your org: DayBack Salesforce Connect.

Faster Salesforce Mobile Layouts and Forms

These dynamic layouts are enabled as part of implementation packages for DayBack; please reach out if this could be useful for your team. Or learn more in our docs: Mobile Support
