The Calendar You've Been Waiting For
Optimize resource scheduling by checking drive times between events and rearranging the order in which they are visited. This helps ensure there is enough travel time between appointments based on traffic conditions and the best available route. By adjusting the sequence of events or assigning them to the closest resources, you can reduce travel time, increase efficiency, and avoid scheduling conflicts caused by unexpected delays.
This code requires the installation of the map-core-main-functions.js foundational library from the Map Core custom action bundle.
We’re excited to release Map Core custom action bundle, giving you an early look at powerful new mapping capabilities within DayBack. This code bundle provides routing, distance calculations, drive times, and geocoding—offering a foundation for users who want to start working with these tools right away. If you’d like mapping features enabled in your DayBack deployment, just let us know—we’ll turn them on so you can experiment with maps configuration in draft mode before rolling out your maps deployment to your users. Please note that maps require DayBack’s Plus plan, which is already included if you’re a Salesforce user.
Since this is the first time maps have been built into the calendar, we’re still refining behaviors and determining which workflows should be built-in versus customized. If you have specific needs for maps or distance-based scheduling, get in touch—your feedback can help shape the future of these features and ensure they work seamlessly in your workflow.
