Overview

This is the core foundational library of app actions required for map-related actions within DayBack.

What’s included in this code bundle

• map-core-main-functions.js – Adds advanced mapping features if enabled. This is the core functionality for routing, distance calculations, drive times, and geocoding.
• map-core-resource-buttons.js – Adds map buttons to resources in pivot schedule and pivot list views. These buttons trigger routing and are also the on-screen locations where distances are displayed.
• map-core-after-events-rendered.js – This aids map-core-main-functions.js and helps manage state changes – such as when to reset or rerender routes as well as distances being displayed.
• Map.css – Styles necessary for routing and resource distances.

About This Release

We’re excited to release Map Core custom action bundle, giving you an early look at powerful new mapping capabilities within DayBack. This code bundle provides routing, distance calculations, drive times, and geocoding—offering a foundation for users who want to start working with these tools right away. If you’d like mapping features enabled in your DayBack deployment, just let us know—we’ll turn them on so you can experiment with maps configuration in draft mode before rolling out your maps deployment to your users. Please note that maps require DayBack’s Plus plan, which is already included if you’re a Salesforce user.

Since this is the first time maps have been built into the calendar, we’re still refining behaviors and determining which workflows should be built-in versus customized. If you have specific needs for maps or distance-based scheduling, get in touch—your feedback can help shape the future of these features and ensure they work seamlessly in your workflow.
