DayBack’s Resource Filters are a robust tool for filtering your calendar by key categories such as individuals, offices, treatment rooms, or equipment—making resource management straightforward and intuitive.

But what if your scheduling needs go beyond these typical categories? For teams managing projects, DayBack’s Horizon View already allows you to break out your calendar by any custom field, including filtering your schedule by individual projects. However, this feature is not automatically extended to resource views, as those views are tied to your predefined list of resource filters.

Extend Custom Breakouts to Resource Views

With DayBack’s flexible scripting capabilities, you can dynamically modify your filter categories and extend custom breakouts to all resource views. For example, you can configure your schedule grid to be grouped by project or any other attribute.

A brief video demonstrates how this functionality works in practice. In the example, we’ve added a custom button that allows users to switch DayBack’s resource views to focus on projects, grouping them by territory. In this scenario, projects are dynamically pulled from Salesforce Opportunity records but could be configured to work with any object and field.
