DayBack Behaviors, Hacks, and Extensions

This action adds a listener to the window that will select all events for multi-select with a certain key combination. The default key combination is Shift-A, but this can easily be configured to another combination. The action is written to not fire when the user is in a field.

The Command ⌘ and Control keys cannot be mapped as modifier keys in DayBack for FileMaker if those commands already exist as FileMaker menu items.

Usage Example:

Move all events from one resource to another:

1. Select a single resource on your favorite view using the resource filters
2. Use Shift-A to select all events scheduled for that resource
3. Add an additional resource using the resource filters
4. Drag and drop the selected events from one column or row to another

This same scenario can be used to move multiple events between Calendars.
