We’ve just improved how you select and manage resources when editing an item in DayBack. If you have lots of resources or have them filtered into many different folders, you can now more easily find the resources you’re looking for when editing an event.
What’s New
See the new features in action:
Here’s a recap of the changes you’ll see when clicking on an event to edit it:
- As shown in the video above, these new features don’t change the drag-to-assign behavior.
- Clicking on an assigned resource unassigns it.
- In the “Assigned” section, you’ll always see the assigned resources, even if they no longer match your current sidebar filter.
- Searching for a resource looks beyond the resources selected in your sidebar filter.
- Searching now looks at resource names, folder names, and resource tags. The search uses the same grammar as filtering resources in the sidebar.
- Click the magnifying glass, and DayBack will show you all the resources in the sidebar.
- Remember that you can change the word “Resources” in DayBack’s translation settings.
Exceptions: Multiple Resources in Salesforce Calendars
There are two options in Salesforce where your resource selector may behave a bit differently than in the movie above.
- If you mapped your resource field to a picklist field in Salesforce, you’ll see the picklist values when editing the event, regardless of what you’ve filtered in the sidebar.
- If you’ve mapped a related field for your resource, you’ll see a slightly different interface for searching for and selecting a resource.
